INFORMATION NOTICE ACCORDING TO GENERAL EUROPEAN DATA PROTECTION REGULATION N. 679/2016 (GDPR)

This page describes the ways in which Donawa Lifescience Consulting Srl (DLC), as Data Controller, collects and processes your personal data through the website www.donawa.com. Attention to confidentiality, protection of users’ personal data represents a key business commitment. In fact, we process your personal data with the utmost care and in compliance with the applicable privacy and security regulations (in particular General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016).

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT AND PROCESS?

The personal data we process is the information that you voluntarily decide to provide us. Such information may be sent to DLC because you have signed an agreement with us or have contacted us with the intention to enter into an agreement, or because you have responded to a job advertisement, or because you have spontaneously submitted a job application to us or have contacted us for any other reason.

We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with us and when you purchase services from us. The personal data we process may include:

  • your name;
  • your home or work address, email address and/or phone number;
  • your job title and the company you work for;
  • your payment and delivery details, including billing and delivery addresses;
  • information related to the browser or device you use to access our website;
  • and/or any other information you provide (e.g. details listed on a passport if this is provided to us for the purpose of completing certain services)

For job applicants, we will also collect the following:

  • marital status, nationality, educational and employment history;
  • references and assessments relating to the work for previous employers (obtained from the candidate or directly contacting the previous employer);
  • any other information included on the curriculum vitae submitted to us
FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We process the personal data listed above for the following purposes:

  • for complying with requirements of our Quality Systems that requires that Curricula Vitae and relevant details are on file
  • for performing payments for services offered by individual consultants
  • for screening candidates for new job openings
  • for completing certain services that you have requested from us which require use of client’s personal data e.g. product registration or delegation to perform clinical study submissions in certain countries
  • for sharing company information (e.g. new services offered, newsletters etc) with you.
  • We may use any of the categories of your personal data to exercise our legal rights including but not limited to, use in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR DATA?

Data is processed using mainly automated tools and for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. The appropriate security measures, as required by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on Personal Data Protection, are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

Personal data will be kept for the time necessary to complete your request and to ensure you to continue to receive newsletters as long as you consider appropriate.

WITH WHOM WILL WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We may share your personal data with our partner company located in the US to process it for the purposes of inter-group administration and to provide services where elements of these are provided by a company other than those with which you have directly contracted. We may also share your personal data with the below third parties, where they have agreed to process your personal data in line with the GDPR:

  • Our professional advisors such as company accountants
  • our suppliers, business partners and sub-contractors; and/or
  • with governmental authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if needed for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.
WHERE ARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA STORED?

The personal data we collect is stored in our server located in Rome, Italy and in a cloud-based back system. It may also be processed by staff who work for us in the United States which has been recognized by the European Commission to provide adequate data protection. HOW LONG WILL WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We will not keep your personal data for longer than is necessary as required by law or for as long as is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions.

If you are our client, we will keep your information for the length of any contractual relationship you have with us and after this, we will store your information for 5 years after our last correspondence and in line with our internal policies.

HOW TO REFUSE THE USE OF COOKIES

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, if you do this you may lose some useful functionality such as personalisation and “keep me signed in” and “remember me” features.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

Pursuant to EU Regulation 679/2016, the following rights are recognized:
the right to ask to Data Controller for access to personal data (Article 15), correction (Article 16), Right to be erased (Article 17), limitation of processing of personal data ( Article 18), the right to data portability (Article 20) or to object to their processing (Article 21), in addition to the right not to be subjected to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects that concern you or which significantly affects your person (Article 22).

The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Article 77 of GDPR) is also recognized if you believe that the processing carried out by DLC is not compliant.

CHANGES TO THE RULES ON PRIVACY

The website, its content and these Privacy rules may be periodically updated or changed without notice. Any changes to the following information notice will affect the processing of data collected as a result of the change.

We therefore ask you to periodically review any changes to the Privacy.
